Poke Milkweed
Asclepias exaltata. This woodland milkweed isn’t naturally occurring in St. Louis Co but is found as close as Pine and Aitkin Co! This is a milkweed for dappled light to full shade with deep green leafy foliage and an elegant drooping white flower. Prefers med-wet to med-dry soil and partial sun to shade. Grows 3-5' tall and blooms during the summer.
